Frequently Asked Questions

How do I scan books?

Tap the scan button on the home screen, then either scan the barcode on the back of your book or take a photo of the book cover. Shelfy will automatically recognize and add the book to your library.

Can I share my library with friends?

Yes! You can generate a shareable link from your profile and send it to anyone. They'll be able to view your library without needing to create an account.

How do I track my reading progress?

Open any book in your library and tap on it to view details. You can mark books as "Reading", "Finished", or "Want to Read" to keep track of your progress.

What if a book isn't recognized?

If scanning doesn't work, you can manually search for the book by title or author. We use Google Books database which contains millions of titles.

Is my data safe?

Yes, we take privacy seriously. Your library data is securely stored and only accessible to you. Check our Privacy Policy for more details.
